Those saturated images you're thinking of started as HDR but to display them on a non-HDR monitor they had to be converted first. The conversion process uses various tricks like local contrast to make it seem they're still HDR. T

I wasn't arguing about superiority. It was just a though of what things would be like if it had gone the other way. Speaking of intuitive, a tiller on a car is only intuitive if you've used it on a boat. Pushing the lever in the

Taking ideas from REST and putting it into your JSON-RPC API doesn't make your API REST. But you call it REST anyways. It's like reading a book on building a house and using ideas to build a shed. Sure your shed has electricity

I've seen several middle class houses that had the laundry room on the second floor (1st floor = ground floor here). Most homes have the laundry on the 1st floor here. I would like a house with the laundry on the 2nd near the bedrooms

Talent is a perfect word for it. I do consider myself talented at programming and yes I do feel I was born with it. I taught myself how to program. Now several things make up that talent. Logical thinking, good at math, problem solving,

I kind of agree with you. If the job just requires putting something together or fixing something that has been done before then you only need a programmer with talent. Like your plumber example. But if the project is something different

The main reason I use Firefox over Chrome is that the Chrome devs are very against users having a choice on how the browser operates. They also tend to over-engineer solutions to problems. Here's an example. There has been a bug repo

I had to use an optical cable between my TV and AVR to get audio. The only thin ARC did was allow me to control the AVR volume control using thr TV's remote. Not very useful when no audio is coming back.
