A person can have an occasional Coke and it's perfectly fine. Fentanyl, not so much.

Very effective? Really? Really? It was very effective at first, until the virus adapted. Literally every single person I know that has been vaccinated (or not) has had COVID. Sure, they might have had reduced symptoms - but there's

Facebook mom groups. That's the real issue, and it's weird that so few seem to realize it. Sure, they skew Republican because stay-at-home moms tend to skew that way too. As you said though, it all predates both presidents. It

I would honestly rate Andor up there with A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back. It’s the top tier, for sure.

GPT3 wasn't that impressive. GPT 3.5 is when it became "oh wow, this could really change things," and that was 2022.

That's nonsense. It used to take women a full workday per week just to wash clothes.

Keep in mind some of us still grow up in places where we can leave our cars/homes unlocked. Obviously extending that feeling to the entire world is naive, but it's also pretty understandable for our now elderly population..

Nah, that’s fine. So is Windows for most tools. The main thing is having 1. Good images with adequate captions and 2. Knowing what settings to use. Number 2 is much harder because there’s a lot of bad information out there and the people wh

No, you're absolutely right. I had the same thought afterwards - but also, we're both introverted and definitely not phone-talkers. I don't really blame myself on that front.

I think in his case they simply built up trust, and made it seem incredibly casual. It's hard for me to know exactly because I wasn't super privvy to what was going on, but by the time I talked to him about it he effectively trus

The bar to get that done seemed too high before he lost all of his money. Now that's done there isn't much of a point, apart from protecting his house. My mom is on the deed as well so there shouldn't be too much risk there

My dad isn't a gambler. He invested in the stock market, but never anything like options. I've never known him to buy a lottery ticket. He's not greedy. He is, however, pretty trusting. It took them months to get to the p

It happened to my father. I told him he was getting scammed. My mom (divorced) told him. So did my sister. It didn’t matter. He lost all of his savings - 300k+. I wish I had taken his phone away, changed his passwords, etc. My mom didn’t wa

Why they haven't changed the filibuster back to the way it used to be (with actual speaking, but only needed a majority vote to pass things) boggles the mind.

My sister was a waitress at Red Lobster in somewhat of a tourism city and made absolute bank. She still stole stuff like cutlery, salt shakers, etc. Let’s not pretend that most people that are stealing are Robin Hood types.
