Your point of view is just not mine. For me Bitcoin has enough reasons to fail (hopefully fast). If it will not, your future will come true anyway after BTC consumes a lot more resources. After BTC consumes a lot of renewable demand and sup

Imagine no way of verifying that this ATM actually doesn't send your words to the owner and transfers BTC out of your wallet.

That article doesn't really support your statement. You can have anonymous BTC address. You can tumble it and you can exchange it at anonyy location. It is the most anonymous digital currency after cash cards.

You can actually catch it and use it. And I don't mean BTC I mean normal heating etc. You could also generate energy and purt it into the grid. Instead you feed it hash search hardware. You consume that co2 for nothing. The same as bef

I was never really aware of heroku. I knew app engine and other things for much longer. I would not subscribe to your interpretation.

> Yes. Because alternative to that is releasing it into the atmosphere which is way worse. That was not my point i made. We don't need BTC to change methan to co2. >> Just that BTC consumes the energy and probably need AC >

It's getting burned one way or the other. Just that BTC consumes the energy and probably need AC so even more energy and consumed additional CO2 through making the ASIC. And we are not in a isolated world. The miners will search and fi

Yes! Of course the Alternative is not to catch it and transport it away and use it but the expectation that the rig would blow. Not sure how you came up with this one, funny. You know they are not doing it because its more effort and less p

We live in a society were people believe making gas into bitcoins is a good thing? :-( We should not have allowed to allow burning this on the spot ever. We would now have cost effective counter measures or storage system for it.

What value? Why do people think it is better to make Bitcoin out of that gas and consume more energy due to hardware and required ac instead of catching it and actually using it. Nothing was Gaines by this. Nothing for you, nothing for me.

That's just not true. We already have plenty of renewable energy which is cost effective. We don't need Bitcoin to balance this out. And Bitcoin doesn't just consume the excessive energy, it consumes all of it as long as it i

Part of renewable is short term storage. You use that peak energy to create heat, charge a battery or do similar things. You can easily create hydrogen. But using it for searching for a hash is the worst idea. If you would be able to use th

Avocados in Gran Canaria are always awesome. Hard ones soft ones they are just great. In Germany? I still like them so much to risk buying them but it's a depressing gamble :-(

I assume we will continue to use renewable energy and mean what you describe. Interesting to hear rebuild able haven't heard that before.

No it doesn't. It's just a lie. BTC provides demand for cheap energy not for renewable. And it consumes the demand. It doesn't create this demand for others.

Always a good idea to build and consume renewable energy and then making heat out of it. Texas power grid sounds very good: cheap and reliable. Ah wait wait we talk about searching for arbitrary hashes which can't be recycled or actual

I have to tell you that while you see it as unethical, I don't. I think this type of research might bring us a level forward for people who are blind or have parkinson's or other things and that this also might be the way for us h
