I could consider moving to a windows laptop if the quality/performance of their laptops was anywhere close to apple. I don't even use an iphone or have any other apple products but the hardware is just _that_ good! The M1 totally

I think you're suggesting that somehow SVB a large and sophisticated bank could not contemplate that the fed would raise interest rates. Not to mention despite the size of their bet, they could have unwound this position for the last c

I am personally completely unable to understand the decision to remove the ability for me to search a youtuber's videos. I didn't even know this was something a video website could take away!

Layoffs in tech. Not hearing much about other parts of the economy. Totally possible I haven't seen the reporting but I'd argue that tech/growth industries suffering layoffs don't really indicate a recession by itself ev

Hiring speed, hire quality, compensation (including things like work/life balance, healthcare, flexibility). I think you can try for two. Once you get large enough your ability to really selectively recruit gets a lot harder when natur

I wonder if you have more context or numbers. What companies are you thinking of. I remember companies like WeWork and Coinbase dropping in valuation but what more traditional Saas companies have run into this sort of hurdle? I'd argue

So all tiktok videos shot in the "tiktok" format are about provoking a reaction? You're the one who makes the claim.

Feel like this article is trying to tie many disparate complaints about people filming in public together. It at one time criticizes the surveillance state and then also tries to connect it to the "man on the street" format. Seems

Asking someone in public a question isn't harassment. Doing the same with a video camera is also not harassment. If they make the polite request to stop and you don't, it would start to be harassment.

Audio mixing has been absolutely terrible in so many productions that I started using subtitles a few years back and then I got used to them. If I want to really focus on the movie I usually turn the subtitles off because sometimes the subt

Sure I totally agree that people have different preferences. Do you have a link to the study which showed that open offices reduced personal interaction? That wasn't my experience and I'm wondering what their methodology was.
