I get a feeling that the tech job market is oversaturated right now, and there are plenty of people running around with all the "achievements" (diplomas, certifications, etc) and no actual knowledge. On my last job i sat right nex

Pure math? Not really. Math as applied to some numeric solution or another? All the time. I like building models and simulators, for stuff ranging from a space elevator to the sound of a supersonic rooster. I like making procedural generati

The largest personal projects i worked on were in the range of 100k lines, which takes 3-4 seconds to fully compile. So, i dunno. Stare at the screen?

Kind of similar here. My parents were in tech and engineering before USSR collapsed, and then moved on to other fields. I never made any permanent friends during school or university, and in the end the only tech people i know were the ones

Have you considered O-1 visa? It sounds intimidating, but many of the requirements are rather easy, i.e. "international prize" can mean getting an app in App Store or Google Play selections, "being a member of professional or

Hm, interesting thing is, i got a Galaxy Note, and it lasts for a week on one charge after all the software garbage was removed. Battery life might be more of a question of software than hardware these days, so getting familiar with Android

Yep, that little dot in the sea of infinity is our little blue marble. No one have ever been more than a pixel (EDIT: a couple hundred pixels) distant from it, and soon even that achievement would fade from living memory.
