I've seen other specific types of mites used to control them. 'Phytoseiulus persimilism' is a type of mite used to control 'two-spotted spider mites', which can feast on crops. The question is whether there's a

I found that as I listened to more and more audio books, I ended up increasing and increasing the speed of playback. 50 or so books in and a 2x speed is quite leisurely listening, which I increase if I find the pace slowing. I don't ag

I do the same thing. My reasoning is, if you're going to put dozens of hours into a book, or hundreds into a good series, an extra 20 minutes at the end to file away any good memories from that really isn't too much of a time expe

I imagine the Mona Lisa is fantastic if you get to inspect it in close detail. Trying to poke your head over 100 flustered tourist, through a sea of arms, phones and cameras, is probably not the best way to appreciate it.

Also anecdata, but we've had some success having replanted the garden with a variety of plants that produce more nectar than those we had previously. Although I don't think a hive has started anywhere, we've had plenty of sol

I've been debating this for years. Partly because it sounds like a fun life, partly because the only way I'm getting affordable housing in London is if it's floating in the Thames.

Agreed. If an author described a character to me as "wargish", I would instantly have an idea in my head of what that person looked like - ugly, brutish, and long-faced like a wolf. It should then I think, by extension, be classed

I had the inverse issue. I answered yes to too many non-words, despite the fact in hindsight they weren't weren't a word - but I thought they sounded correct enough that they could be used as a word. Went back and also got a hig

I'd say that's down to poor maintenance and management from the complex owners, not a fundamental issue with communal spaces themselves. I've had the same issues you've described with a local park, until the council hire

Exactly this. At worst, you need to at least taper the emotionally charged question with the counter-point; "Would you feel differently if your child was falsely accused of murder because of genetic comtamination?"

Generally the answer to the 'too many bugs' question is always 'not enough birds'. Industrial farming has destroyed most of their habitation, and bird species are in decline almost everywhere [0]. I recently read that in
