Nothing forces the rebound effect to dominate. Computers grow cheaper, we rebound by buying ones with higher capacity, but the overall price still shrinks. I bet the computer you used to post today cost much less than Colossus. Similarly, n

I've never been near Harvard. Is developing infrastructure near Harvard unusually difficult, compared to the rest of the US?

Is his seat up for reelection in 2026? If so, he'll want to talk nicely to the voters, won't he? There seems to be no votes on Trump's various actions, so there is little discrepancy between words and voting record.

I really like that I can use an LLM to change tone. "Change the following text to sound like bland American officespeak." That said, this feature doesn't sound like a great leap for mankind.

"There is currently no text in this page." IIRC there were some claims of Brother doing something shady recently, Brother claimed not to, and the source of the story did not reply or substantiate their claim. What did I miss?

Complete evacuation in 90 seconds iirc. You could build a new plane with many more emergency exits, but for an existing plane that limits how tight the spaces can be.

Well, maybe. Personally I believe that the browser is intended to defend against e.g. Facebook's apps. Google wants to make sure that if you buy a new device and it comes with a Facebook app preinstalled, it also comes with a browser.

People keep saying that. There are two problems with that, namely ① Google's own ads are easy to block using the new API and ② the new API is effective at blocking various evil attacks. If Google wanted to get rid of ad blockers, I
