Du you pay any news organisations to do that? Do you pay any for anything at all? If you don't pay, your opinion of what they should do does not matter.

It sounds as if you regard the ticket syste, as taking over the role of the version control system, or do I misunderstand?

Locking up Mexicans, Indonesians for days? Not new at all. Harassing anyone and everyone, sure. A then-former prime minister of Norway was harassed at the US border, they kept him for hours. But 19 days when you have a rich-country passport

Apple doesn't say. IMO you should not trust other people's statements about Apple's reasoning.

I live in Munich, where the main BMW factory is. That factory's currently being reconstructed to only produce EVs. Dabbling it's not.

Maybe it wouldn't be so bad if their employer showed similar commitment to the employees.

I hear that O365 is signing up paying customers at a rapid pace. Now, not in 2012.

I think that is correct, but how can defense against a meaningless campaign be meaningful? Perhaps you can explain the operational meaning of the bombing campaign.

Of course there's profit potential. There's high risk, that always causes potentials for large profits and losses.

I seem to remember that when asked about immigration to their local area, majorities almost everywhere in the UK thought it was at the right level, but the same people thought it was too high UK-wide. The difference implies that the voters

That was stupid of me, sorry. I'm fairly sure it was true at some point (and after the new treaty was negotiated in the middle nineties), but things change as decades pass. I should've checked. I tried to find a table showing how

I voted against joining. Norway has those benefits because it's one of the three net contributors. Norway, the Netherlands and Germany pay more to the EU than the EU pays to them. The treaties that were signed wouldn't have been s

Don't be so quick. That debt was only $2m per branch, ie. each branch would have to pay $8k/month interest if they paid 5% interest. Significant but not likely to be the biggest cost per branch. Derek Guy's explanation sounds

Replying to myself — I'd forgotten Viktor Orban's vain hope that somehow, the Ukrainians might be persuaded to provide transit. "Maybe if we buy the gas in Russia such that when it crosses Ukraine it's European gas."

IIRC there was a significant decrease in late 2024. The biggest gas distributor in Austra had a contract that basically couldn't be cancelled. However, the contract specified that the Russians deliver the gas, and the Russians did that

Going to kill someone… the messages said there was a spy there, someone who watched a target go into a building (and not leave). Is that spy still alive?

This is about a company, another clever concept people invented, and companies depend conceptually on money. You can't have companies without money: you have to hand bookkeeping and the bookkeeping must have a positive number on the bo

Much lower risk, ok. But the question is, why risk it instead of going elsewhere? To the Bahamas instead of Florida?

I can't help wondering who's directly above and below Goldberg on Waltz's contact list. And whether Waltz drinks. And whether the Houthis have found out who watched that target go into the building.

Signal is great. But if your employer has rules that require retaining messages, Signal isn't usable because it doesn't do that.
