The big they describe was fixed a about a month ago, wasn't it? https://cloud.google.com/blog/topics/threat-intelligence/rus... suggests it was. Wonder what the real reason for this news is.

War of full of cruelties. You've read about "foraging" to supply an army with food, which was done for millennia. Nice polite word. Do you know what it meant? It meant sending out soldiers to find farmers and force them to ha

At a guess, something to do with "hiring" Mozilla to do phishing protection in forms, perhaps in-browser, more likely mostly-in-browser.

I think you're being unfair. A more generous description would be "who thinks they're on their own anyway, because if the big bad day comes, Trump's going to be a no-show".

There are two things here. The company has an algorithm that tried to find out what makes users click/scroll onwards/return soon. And then there is what users like. The company chooses to act as though the two are equal. That'

Excellent answer. I'd like to add that this is common enough that there are about 50 service providers that do it. If you're Carlsberg and have one single salesperson in a country, these companies let you have a regular employment

Are you reacting to your downvote(s)? That's just driveby downvotes from google haters, nothing substantive.

I think you're assuming that a power network with fewer connections still has the same costs, which seems wrong. The core network will have lower load and there will be fewer leaf nodes.

My 100% subscriptions in the past years is on Android, actually. What I've heard is that one-time purchases lead to a lack of income after three years, when people expect upgrades. That's not a problem for app developers who don&#

I bought quite a few around 2012, sure, but it tapered off. I don't think I've bought any apps as one-time purchases in the past five years, it's all yearly subscriptions now. All the ones I see on my main phone screen right

"Is trying to restart" is a description I can agree with. They're clearly looking for ways to spend the billions. Let's see how many of those billions are eventually paid to someone.

That wasn't actually the question. AFAICT you think France has been caught short and infer that France is doubling down, etc. But you're not saying that what you think should happen actually happens. In fact France did spend money

Is France doubling down? They started a bunch of projects and provided money, yes. Good IMO. One should research even improbable possibilities, say I. But they also evaluated the projects recently, and the results weren't good. Here&#x

It sort of makes sense where Putin is coming from. He considers himself the almighty Tsar, he'd prefer to solve the temporary lack of obeisance in Ukraine peacefully, and of course the solution must acknowledge his supreme rule. I find

Some people will be in contempt of court. Trump will issue some pardons, but will he issue pardons for his small helpers? Small helpers will have to worry about the next election.
