The paradigm is also used by /proc and /sys, so I guess other developers won't get confused. However I never tried to tar -x into /proc to start the same set of processes on another node, or as an alternative to /e

They could set up a recursive dnsmasq on the router, and block udp/53 traffic to the outside world.
