An the blog post argues for adding another command and a new set of names ;). As much as I love the idea of Nix, it would only make that problem go away if it managed to take over the whole world - which it won't.

The Firefox issue is a classic indicator that the site would work in Firefox with one additional step and the creators didn't bother checking. In this case: Firefox expects CORS to load fonts from a different domain, e.g. CloudFront.

Another question is: "Hey, we want to provide a good program, but how do we make sure only to people with serious interest sign up?" Restricting to paying customers is a good way of weeding out people that just sign up because the

You are providing an HTTP link to git.io, so it cannot be verified whether I am connecting to the real git.io. This means an attacker can fake himself being git.io very easily (a classic man-in-the-middle attack). It doesn't matter if

The biggest problem is that the interesting part about this challenge (different precendence) is rather advanced to beginners and is _not even touched_ in the preceding parts.

Even if free as beer, the demo version is non-free, in an open source sense. Sure, but you could use any of the many projects built on the open Q3 engine that are actually free as in speech. (And maybe child-friendly) Also, to be clear: I f

Celebrate the open source release of the drivers by giving out a price for making a non-free software run on it? Also one that the intended audience of the hardware is not allowed to play? Seems a bit odd. (The Quake 3 engine is open source
