I was for a very long time a tabs supporter and hold out. In fact, this is taken verbatim from my .emacs (setq-default indent-tabs-mode nil) ;; The Death of a Legend! I gave up not because anyone had any particularly good arguments

It's not really about working everywhere. It's about providing the existing browser vendors their own parser, and reference implementation to help promote implementation. It's a small well constrained subset of what they already have. And

Are you arguing that given such, I have more than 63 bits for the number, or do you just have a problem with the usage of the words "sign flag"?

> 64 bits is 64 bits he said, right... well yes That's the problem right there. 64 bits is not always 64 bits. While a 64 bit int gives you a 64 bit number (Actually a 63 bit number and a 1 bit sign flag). An IEEE double precision fl

Exactly. A link to NASA or the like would hardly help any sort of promotion. People enjoying this game immediately get the value of space exploration. And revenues on this scale would make little significant difference to any significant pr

Well if the deal pusher was worth his weight in gold, and let's say he's about 150 lbs 150 lbs * 14 oz/lb * $1,500/oz = $3,150,000 Yeah, I'd say that whomever pushed the deal through may be worth $3mil

Indeed the ecosystem and support around source maps isn't super easy in total, but I wouldn't call any particular point in isolation particularly difficult. It's just that there is quite a few of them.
