The main blocker is the requirement for TPM 2.0. It requires a minimum chipset (motherboard) version, which is only compatible with a minimum CPU generation. I'm not sure how much is implemented on the CPU die vs the mobo chipset, but

Has anyone figured out how many devices are still running Windows that can't upgrade to 11? The oldest Intel CPUs supported were released in 2017.

I started by looking into LLMs outside of ChatGPT (self-hosting ollama, API services, etc.) I got annoyed that they all had their own 'chat' interface, or that all the chat interfaces were some bad rebuild of a chat application. S

I host a number of services on a cloud server, but my website is still just using a static site with Cloudflare pages. If you just need a static site they are so simple to setup it's not been worth it to bother hosting myself.

Is there a way to get a monthly/weekly/whatever announcement of just the new gTLDs coming out? I have never been able to find a method other than manually checking on ICANN.

You have to implement the C version manually, so it's not that odd you'd need to do the same for Rust? You've described, basically, a custom type that is 8 Options<u8>s. If you start caring about performance you'll

What's crazy is that the landing page doesn't even mention Mac at all. I'm getting very annoyed by things that don't mention they only work on Mac until you go to install them.

The highest density hard drives have 10 platters[1], storing about 2.2TB each. So if they're talking density in terms of bytes per square cm, 24 is probably reasonable. HDD platters are certainly smaller than DVD-size, and the 24x clai

The only downside is that fish has no way to allow atuin to override the autosuggestions as you type. We can get that in zsh but fish doesn't expose that.

I've now explained in that issue why it's broken, why it's probably unfixable for atuin, but why replacing fc with an equivalent feature in atuin sounds pretty doable. Feel free to open a feature request before I do.

In most shells, you can just add those entries as shell completions to `cd` or `z`. In fish for example, it's as easy as the following (using zoxide query) complete -c z -f -k -a "(zoxide query -l)"

The clock does wrap around at the top, but the problem comes about when the smallest hand gets to the bottom (the value 0x80). Flipping it would be confusing as that would make the 0x00000000 position be at the bottom. The 2038 problem come
