They're faster? They must have been working on performance then, maybe I should take another look at how that project has been maturing. When I last looked 'dd' was significantly slower, though I did make it a bit closer a wh

Element X doesn't even support Threads or Spaces still, the two things that are absolutely required to organize discussions.

I don't think there's a setting for "only allow people from X server", but you can make the room private and only invite people from that particular server.

I access them by running the models in Ollama (on my own hardware), and then using my app Chaz[1] to access it through my normal Matrix client. [1] - https://github.com/arcuru/chaz

Wow, and their current "pre-sales" price is $280. No wonder they don't have any dates on that page, or link to the Github repo that hasn't been updated in over a year. https://github.com/accelerant-dev&#x

No I can't. Because I use fish shell. `cat` can also be a single character if you alias it :)

Using `cat file.txt | ...` has always felt more natural to me, so I still use it. If I need to build a long command I've been using the excellent `up` tool to do it, e.g. `cat file.txt | up` https://github.com/akavel&#x

I generally agree with that..for a for profit project. Gosub, despite have 2.6k Github stars, has a grand total of 0 sponsors. They literally take in no money. This is someone's unpaid side project. I expect a designer would be welcome

It's for the casual stalker. Take a picture of a woman's dog to find out the breed, then you can pretend you know it when you go chat her up.

That's too bad. I used to contribute to Exercism a lot (I'm still technically a maintainer but haven't meaningfully helped in a while), I think it was the first OSS project I contributed a large amount of effort to. I was mor

I think that if you use OSS projects as much as the typical HN user, you should be giving money to at least some of them. If your OSS contribution budget is $0, you're part of the problem. The same of course applies to companies but 10

You can implement a decent "forking" feature pretty easily in Matrix at least, by using Threads. My bot does not support that at the moment though. Interrupting output (or streaming responses in general) won't work in a non-c
