I have an iPad Pro 11-inch 4th gen and that supports Thunderbolt/USB 4 but when connected as to my MacBook Pro it shows up as USB 3.1 at 10 Gbps. So that is correct.

You can get ones with certain dB reductions instead. Those will allow you to still hear but at a lesser level. This is great for reducing wind noise while riding, but still being able to use in-helmet comms and hearing things like sirens&#x

AWS won't give you a NAT without you paying for it (NAT Gateway) which requires a public IPv4 address (which you will soon have to pay for). There ain't no such thing as a free lunch.

Apple's touch detection for when you place your hands on the touchpad while typing is top-notch though. It's what allows them to make the touchpad so big, while still making the keyboard easily accessible.
