How come ? We have drone that can follow you while keeping the camera on you, without any big issues. And that for a very low price. I thought we already got "autonomous" cart, following employees around stocks. So why not a remo

You have to be honest: that's the perfect architecture to create paranoia. As usual, it doesn't mean it's Evil. But it's perfect to create story since it's "mysterious"!

When you’re using C, you will have to take care of the retain/release cycle if you allocate by hand objects. The internal of the object should take care of themselves though. It’s a bit like using unsafe in rust - you’re the one respon

I’m curious, what kind of project could you do once you built it ? My major issue is that I can easily build stuff. The puzzle keep my brain on the job - but then I don’t know what to do after I’ve checked it works :D (i.e my various RC pro

Sorry, I meant sharpening. Edge dull, even with a high rockwell hardness. And then you will have micro chipping and so on happening… honing every time is the foundation.

Hell no. It dépend a lot of the angle of the edge, the steel hardness and how and where you use it. I hone mine every 3 to 4 weeks, and I’m gentle with my Global chef’s knives

It’s very much the view from cyberpunk histories where corpo are the true power, not government (behind that there are AI of course). So Musk is dreaming of a dystopia where he is one of the power.

The artist has the right to choose when and what he publish. We should respect that (and I'm a huge fan of T. Pratchett). Maybe they were not up to his standard, too unrefined...

I can. My ex can't. My parents can't. My ex's parents either can. Strangely enough, normal people can't. And that's the issue.

They're pretty good with their previous model. You can upgrade/improve nearly everything from an original 911 which is incredible... or rebuild it from the ground up. Now that's why a car from 1980 cost is not far from a new

Not too sure about this part. Lot of program are written then used, but never revised. Code is a tool and not an end in itself. Honestly, do you want to revise your code on and on ? I didn't. I still don't want to. Then when I ha

Yeah, BIND is hard to configure. Unbound/nsd are so much easier to deal with (once you find the correct documentation which is an exercice in frustration) The principle behind DNS are not that hard, once you understand it's recurs

I work with a lot of people that don’t care. They have a job with deadline, for which they already gained a lot of knowledge, and need to keep it updated. So no, the supplementary friction is not acceptable, even for « good » reason.

I can write docker-compose file, run it on my laptop. Can't do that without spending 2 days of pre study with K8s. And to have it ready on a basic laptop is not fun. At all But K8s is maybe not the tool for that either.
