Perhaps I should change my framing on this. Yes there are structures available able to subvert the system. Both do need to be worked on, but focusing on one without the other results in diminishing returns. We've focused on the social

Not everyone is or wants to be an artist. As my sibling comment states, the market takes care of this just fine. There won't be a sudden transfer to people not caring about money or social status. Plenty of people will still go for job

Much of this article discusses the content of the books. The majority in the top section is pretty neutral. Then the final 3 or 4 paragraphs does some token disagreement that I feel really should be discussed more, particularly as I may (li

While basically all the omniviolence scenarios would induce the state to trust individuals less, which is kind of the thrust of the article, climate change can still induce more frequent heatwaves and make things difficult for more people.

I would also argue that #2 was already being said 7 years ago. Further, growth is not always constant growth, let alone exponential growth. It may plateau, and then grow again further down the track after other problems (eg storage) are sol

I think this is a symptom of a few things: dehomogenisation of interests and urban sprawl, exacerbated by income requirements and children. From my understanding: In the country, you integrate, or you're isolated. It's pretty much
