I have a tangential question on this part: > I sometimes experienced severe system slowdowns due to high I/O, even if the data to be processed was not read/write dependent. On FreeBSD this does not happen, and if something is b

I’m just a user for whom “building” is too much of a burden. When this was posted, I went to the website to see if I could download the standalone desktop version for Windows . Since I knew that the lack of this was something I had experie

Considering that Netflix’s ToS and Apple’s Family Sharing both say that they’re only meant for people in the same household, I don’t see “Apple might fear getting sued” as an issue.

Bitwarden, over the last few years, has been focusing on enterprise features and has largely ignored more basic stuff. It doesn’t seem like that’s going to change quickly, since the pace of development seems slow.

Sorry to break it to you, but 1Password is not going to make any changes to suit your requirements. The company behind it is user hostile and quite stubborn. The only advice I can give is to switch from it to something else. There is absolu

If you like comedies in space, Space Force on Netflix is also great. Add one more vote for Avenue 5, suggested above, for “tears in the eyes” laughter.

It’s not anonymity but the distance that matters. Plenty of people on Facebook with their real names, locations (through photos and events) don’t seem to care about saying things that they may not say face to face.

The data store may be one, but the teams and apps working on the inputs and the outputs may be disparate and different. Relying on other teams all the time to do things correctly may not be a wise approach.

We need good GUI apps on multiple platforms for tools like this (and for tools like age/rage). It’s one thing to use such tools for oneself, but impossible to have many others adopt it if there’s no GUI.
