Well I sat through quite a bit of USMLE prep and it's there.

Well then it's simple: can't have a good platform built with a shitty language.

No it isn't, he right. It's child abuse. Not Swift, but Java is definitely child abuse.

That's not true at all: as a kid, I had to do inordinate amounts of reverse engineering precisely because I didn't have sufficient documentation, and what little I did have was in a foreign, non-English language I did not understa

Intelligence is inherited from the mother, not the father. That's standard content on the United States Medical Licensing Exam ("USMLE").

I don't know whether it'll build because I'm interested in maximum compression -- time spent compressing is immaterial to me since it's only done once. It's like compiling -- I don't care how long it takes if i

Nothing at all; it's what was done to that hardware that's the travesty here. It takes an extraordinary level of incompetence and ignorance to even get the idea to slap Linux with dmraid and LVM on that hardware and then claim tha

I use xz on my A1200 all of the time, and Amiga is the stereotypical system where maximum possible compression matters over everything else. Don't make assumptions about me.

I couldn't care less about decompression speed, because the bottleneck is the network, which means that I want my packages as small as possible. Smaller packages mean faster installation; at 54 MB/s or faster decompression rate of

"Have you written much assembler?" I have written lots of MOS6502, MC68000 and UltraSPARC assembler, as I come from the demo and cracking scene. That's where I grew up.

You haven't been paying attention: we now run 64-bit AMMX extended MC68080's which get faster and faster every firmware update. SPARC register windows are an awesome thing once you grok them; 256 virtual registers and pedal to the

Yeah... no. I'd rather bang my head against the wall until it bleeds profusely and I figure out how to synthesize my own OpenSPARC cores and enjoy myself on 64-bit MC68080 which gets faster and faster with every accelerator update.

By definition, RISC stands for "reduced instruction set computer". And RISC-V exposes its internals so it has way more instructions than a conventional CISC processor, a lot of which deal with its internal states. Here is a good e

I just have to ask -- does A/UX use any type of software packaging format? Is it SVR4 pkgadd(1M) / pkgrm(1M) / installf(1M) / removef(1M) / pkginfo(4), or something else? Is there any documentation on how to make OS
