In The Netherlands I think it's pretty rare to require Dutch in IT related jobs. I know of one software company that recently initiated a policy of only hiring Dutch speakers and I suspect it will really hurt their hiring going forward

I discovered this game through Ultimus Rex's Youtube channel. I recommend watching him play a couple times before diving in. https://www.youtube.com/@ultimus_rex40

Perhaps the fundamental issue is your ignorance? Don't you know that users require tools that just work and that they should not be required to understand all of this technical nuance?

The Dutch government literally put out an RFP for 'Microsoft Outlook licenses'. Not mail clients, not email services, but a specific company's product. In an RFP.

My main gripe about certbot is that it requires a plugin to essentially send a SIGHUP to apache/nginx/etc. Openbsd acme-client got this right and left that functionality out of itself.

This is an interesting experiment, but I have my doubts about its effectiveness. I hope someone is tracking how well this works and we get some good research out of it. I'm much more interested in any research paper that comes from thi

Check the errata for RFC 7788. .home being listed in it is a mistake. .home has never been designated for this purpose. home.arpa is for HNCP. Use .internal.

I always find it sad when racist Americans can only imagine their own country's decline by comparing it to those countries they persecute.

People are getting downvoted for criticizing booking.com. They're a shit company and everyone who works in tech in The Netherlands knows it.

$2 trillion to develop something that can't even dependably fly and the Pentagon can't even pass an audit. What a joke.

People need to stop using .local or .dev for stuff like this. .dev is an actual TLD in the root zone and .local is for multicast DNS. ICANN has said they will never delegate .internal and it should be used for these kinds of private uses. I

Maybe the kid of some ASML exec gets to go to Harvard? Who knows. In the last batch of negotiations they never made the deal public. These deals get made by elites and the public never learns the details.
