If anyone's interested to see the slide examples but in Factor, I wrote them out: https://programming.dev/comment/6718327 Here's a bit: : add1 ( x -- x' ) 1 + ; : square ( x -- x' ) dup * ;

Just in case you haven't tried it and want another option, Wezterm runs anywhere and does pretty much everything. But not AI/webapp stuff.

Thanks, I look forward to this! For some possibly useful documentation feedback: I got confused. Normally I would install a tool, check out its `--help` content, then maybe try it out. I think based on my attempts to do this and read the

Thanks, after trying on Firefox Mobile, I didn't have any luck getting audio on Chrome Mobile either. Which browsers are tested and expected to work on Android?

Ever played with a more stack-oriented / concatenative / postfix language, like Factor? "," split [ string>number 5 > ] count or "," split [ string>number ] map [ 5 > ] count or &q

Cool! I was going to ask how this differs in broad strokes from pz, but when I went to get the reference link found that pz hasn't been updated in two years, so that's one big difference. https://github.com/CZ-NIC&

Sorry I haven't mastered linking lemmy communities yet, and that one doesn't work well for me now that I test it. More directly: https://programming.dev/c/devlogs

Well this recently created Lemmy community is empty so far, but programming.dev/c/devlogs is an option. https://lemmy.guide/link?target=!devlogs@programming.dev

Why isn't the solution for the offender to pay the cost of cleanup, and for the cleanup to happen?

I just want to say that I enjoy and recommend Philippe Petit's opinionated Why Knot? book.

But it can be fixed in that regard by turning it into a constrictor knot instead, IIUC.

Not in New York, at least. Foo rhymes with Blue and Flu, while Foot rhymes with Soot and Put (same vowel sound as Book, Look, Cook, etc.).

I know I'm being repetitive in all these config file threads, but you might like NestedText, which only provides strings, lists, and maps.

Absolutely agree! If you haven't checked it out, NestedText takes this approach.

I've been trying to like it, but it doesn't have named places results like I'd really want, and it even fails to locate straight up addresses sometimes. I'm keeping it installed for now and will keep checking back.

Unfortunately that's not a spec, only a (language-specific) tool. For a similar spec that offers no types outside of string, list, and dict, there's NestedText.

NestedText seems very close to what a strictyaml spec could be/have been. I'm curious if you've engaged with that project/format, and what you think of it.

But the whitespace handling involved is an extra complication, at least the provided example fails to be parsed by `tomli`, which is following the currently release TOML spec: https://github.com/hukkin/tomli/issues

Thanks for your work! I first encountered strictyaml years ago and have used it, happily. I especially appreciate that you made clear arguments for what ought to be excluded from a configuration format itself, and how proper validation ulti
