   It's appealing to people who want to understand and control everything they're doing. When I'm using pandas or SQLAlchemy, I have no idea what the code is actually doing. Most people don't care about such implementation

   I think they're saying they can see a sliver of the far side, and that seeing the moon from a slightly different angle is weird having seen the near side so often. But they didn't really make that clear.
