Excuse my ignorance but why does it look so complicated and unnecessary? What exactly does it improve over lets say PHP or Rails or whatever?

From article: So I tried placing there continue=javascript:alert(document.domain), and… It works! What do you think document.domain returns in this case?

Mobilized as cannon fodder? Doubt. Forced to make difficult decisions impacting his and his family life, decisions about living under dictatorship going insane, living in a country reorganizing itself for war economy. No doubt.

These must be two extremes of cultures. Russian and Japanese must be the very opposites in almost every way.

Is this US or EU or somewhere else? I have some experience in Europe. I (male early thirties then) once was sat in an exit row (replaced with some other passenger) when flying EasyJet. As I understood then only because I seemed to be more f

Out of topic - Why people even have all those tabs open? I may have one or two pinned and that's it? Why are you even in "need of organizing tabs"?

Medical insurance - oh you have cancer/hear attack/etc gene. You premiums skyrocket. Job opportunities - oh so sorry you have bipolar gene... Dictator governments - oh your genes are shit so you are not allowed to have kids.

Out of topic question. Would it be possible to combine machine learning with something like 23andMe and match 100 000 person photos with their DNA. Would we have an AI model which basically can tell how the persons looks like from a strand

I think "one two three" sound very similar in a lot of languages. Like pronouncing them "a e i".

For me there was no "after" yet. Psychiatrist suggests to be on meds for at least a year or so. Combine with therapy. Going off meds should be very slow and take a month or so of dosage lowering. I guess body should have be adjust

I think I share exactly the same experience and the very same thing helped greatly for me. I was just not diagnosed any postpartum depression but rather good old GAD. After the birth of a son life changed 180 - no free time, no personal tim

You did the right thing no doubt. However your experience seems to prevent you from seeing the bigger picture. "Popping pills" is probably chosen not because people don't want to solve problems and change their lives. It is p

So how do I easily draw? I can see potential to use it in documentation and etc but how do I create e.g. mock? Just typing all the symbols I need to remember?

Bialetti makes excellent moka pots for induction. I find it even better on induction stove to control the flow as you can basically leave it on "5" and coffee slowly pours out. Much harder with real fire. https://www.bi

At some point I started believing in something like a Gell-Mann Amnesia but for people. You talk/listen to this seemingly intelligent person who seems to be so confident in his field. Or rather in one of the fields. And then this perso

This is a fundamental truth everybody needs to understand. Not my idea, heard it somewhere. That the crucial difference between a human being and AI is that if you show a 3 year old kid one picture of a cat, a kid can recognize all other ca

I think this is a good point and maybe raises a question - are they really quitting or e.g. are being bullied to quit. I have no doubt some part of "quitters" would be exactly that - people "asked to quit".

12 days has passed and Russia attacks civilian objects all over Ukraine during rush hour as a retaliation for attacking the bridge. What else is this than a butthurt mafioso thinking "you will find out now what we are capable of".

No doubt here. Just watching a few videos on youtube about composition and similar stuff can improve your photos greatly. Sometimes people just don't have "a feeling" on why professional photos look like professional photos.

There is no doubt my mother-in-law barely notices a difference when I take a photo of her grand children using phone and using camera. And this is for one simple reason - she looks at how much fun her grand children are having. Not the qual
