I'm baffled you can't clone internal/private repos with anything other than a developer PAT. They have a UI to share access for workflows, let cloning use that...

I used mercurial in anger for about 9 months or something, with a gitlab fork too. when git goes wrong there's forums, blogs, books and manuals. When hg does it's a python stack trace, good luck.

There's a patched dll around that replaces IPX for TCP. Turn off ipv6, the lobbies work but not the game when you try to start.

The core tenant of this I'd rather push is project based learning. Otherwise it sounds a bit too much like the point of education is to do a job and earn money. Also touched on is failure, you can't learn a business with real mone

I don't know the ins-and outs of how audioContext is implemented but it's got a lot in there to be very clever and dynamic, playing a notification chime seems like that feels like drawing an svg with D3 instead of img href *.svg.

I support this idea but I stopped reading when the costs factored included the social costs of CO2 emissions. which I'm sure are important, but shipping operates on the actual cost of fuel and equipment, until CO2 tax is in that aren&#

Bad arch decision are punishing. AMD was absolutely dwarfed in the early core iX days and never really came back until Ryzen. The whole bulldozer linage was DoA to the point Opteron just never factored in. Hopefully Intel pull something out

Nvidia trying to triple graphics card prices is going to hurt the rest of the gaming markets. people still want 500/1000/1500/2k rugs and if you can't get enough upgrade in that budget you wait a generation.

Shelling out to a CLI is quite an interesting path because often that functionality could be useful handed out as a separate utility to power users or non-automation tasks. Rust makes cross-platform distribution easy.

The best UI is no UI. Anyone who tries to design for increased engagement isn't who you're looking for. I'd look to study lots of internal tools that don't get marketed or outside influences. That would be interesting to
