I just don't understand the problem that Google is having. Why can't they simply penalise sites/domains that are full of rubbish? Or manually boost domains and sites that aren't. The lack of innovation in search worries me - there are big c

Interesting to look at the potential revenue lost through these downloads: Kick Ass - Heavily pirated, not a huge commercial success If everyone who DLed it paid $8 it would have doubled its revenue (and pretty much all of this would have

Thanks but it's not mine, someone shared the link in another thread. It's well done, if a little Ajaxy for my tastes!

What would an ideal online course look like? I've been thinking about building a wiki-style engine for tutorials etc. I'd like to apply some of the elements from Stack Overflow (badges, rep-based priviledges etc)

I think Bluetooth keyboards might take off. What you're describing sounds exactly like the iPad docked with a keyboard. Edit: And to test it out I've just paired a keyboard to the iPad and edited this. It works a treat - I might stop roll

"it's clear that tablets are huge". I agree but I'd say it's clear that the iPad is huge, and that tablets will be huge. So far there's no competitor to the iPad. I'm not sure why Google are arsing around with the Cr-48 (a netbook/la

Just compare the share prices of RIM, Apple, Nokia and HTC (shows as 2498): http://www.google.com/finance?chdnp=0&chdd=1&chds=1&... It's clear that HTC and Apple are taking off. Nokia's peak was around 2000, with a second (dead c

Absolutely agree that Tropo is better than Twilio. Here are my reasons: 1. Cheaper 2. Multiple voices and accents (UK British Male & Female) 3. Use any number as caller ID. 4. Calls during development are free. 5. Recordings are a breez

I've got you, but I'm wondering what your approach is? I'm stuck in a mindset where I work from creating a database to CRUD to functional code.

You won't regret going the Yii route. I'm amazed that people are still coding the basics from the ground up when there are already top-notch frameworks out there.
