Okay, I can see the "it's not that he did it; it's that he did it in such a self-aggrandizing manner" argument. That's a fair argument. Thanks for the response.

I don't really have any expertise to comment on whether setting up an LLC versus a non-profit is a good idea. I'm not even a big Zuck fan. I just think it's so very… western culture in 2015 that a bunch of internet warriors

Ah, hmm. So I guess you don't see it if you're using it headlessly… that's mostly how I've tinkered with my Pi.

What is the "under-voltage rainbow icon?" Is that on the Pi itself, or in some program?

Piketty thinks ISIS arose because of income inequality. Greenie professors think ISIS arose because of global warming [1]. Isolationists think foreign interventionism gave rise to ISIS (see elsewhere in this subthread). ISIS themselves thin

I'm excited about the idea of server-side Swift and this seems to be the most ambitious implementation of it so far, but who is this awful web site targeted to? Developers? With its fading and sliding? Really? Just give us the informat

Actually, D8 adds a few (optional) modules which add some nice UI flourishes to simplify things for administrators and content editors. The stock administration menu module has been greatly improved and made more user-friendly out of the bo

Aside from the inexperience issue (D7 and later really do give you the power to override theming on just about anything), you should never promise a client that a web design will replicate a mock-up with pixel perfection. It's impossib

Not if you don't have the stupid PHP filter installed (it was ripped out of core for the Drupal 8 release, praise be to the heavens; for those unfamiliar, it was basically <textarea> plus eval()) and you're using decent vers

Bidets? No thanks. Heated seats? Don't need 'em. I think the smartest element on Japanese toilets is that some of them have a little faucet and sink on the lid of the tank; the water that fills the tank actually goes through that

Unfortunately, the book I usually point people to [1] when they ask a question like that is not yet updated for Drupal 8. Frankly, we're probably going to be in that awkward state where supply for learning resources for D8 is greatly o

Developer of Pathologic [1] here. Code-wise, D8 is really a whole new paradigm for the system, so if you've given Drupal a look in the past and rolled your eyes at the PHP 4-ness of it all, I really encourage you to give it another loo

Back when I first tried PC-BSD, I don't think GhostBSD existed yet. I've tried it once or twice since then, though. GhostBSD is definitely more lightweight and simple in what it provides (no graphical package manager, for example)

That's odd. Dead simple package management is one of PC-BSD's biggest wins. That thread seems to be about running PC-BSD's package managers on vanilla FreeBSD, which… yeah, I don't know if that's going to work very

Incidentally, Panic's Coda [1] can do something like this as well in a slightly-more-roundabout way: paste code into it (or just write it), let Coda highlight it, then do Edit > Copy with Styles. I use this to style code I then past
