Incidentally, Panic's Coda [1] can do something like this as well in a slightly-more-roundabout way: paste code into it (or just write it), let Coda highlight it, then do Edit > Copy with Styles. I use this to style code I then paste code into presentation slides in order to include pretty code samples on a slide without resorting to screenshots; it has infinite resolution, and someone can copy it from the presentation file or PDF later.
