Congrats on the release! I wonder what it would take to have Linux arm64 official builds?

The Voxtral release seemed interesting, because it brought back competitive open source audio transcription. I wonder if it was necessary to have an LLM backbone (vs a pure-function model) though, but the approach is interesting.

We see those posts regularly about people wanting a flagship small phone, but I see two options: - either the market is dysfunctional, and the niche of people wanting those devices does not meet the smartphone offer. - or the market is even

This is why it's good to have automated tooling that can do semantic changes on your language and standard library use. Go has `go fix` even if it was only used in pre-1.0 days AFAIK. It is never lost because this type of tooling can b

When comparing the same design, it absolutely makes sense, because it usually scales. Of course in this case, there's the SRAM which is shared, memory bandwidth, etc. As a rule of thumb: run your own benchmark!

25% more cores and 36% more clock. It amounts to paying 85% more for 70% more perf. Not too bad.

Does the comparison even makes sense, considering there's (more than) an order of magnitude difference in price between the AMD's Desktop GPU and NVIDIA's Workstation accelerator?

I have no idea! I actually hoped someone would show a much more comprehensive and serious benchmark in response, but that has failed to materialize.

Does anyone know if it supports parallel decompression, lbzip2-style? (or just iterators doing pre-scanning for the block magic that allow doing parallel decompression on top). Edit : it probably doesn't.

Interesting that one of the factor listed in there, the hardcoded page-size on arm64, is still is an unsolved issue upstream, and that forces app developers to either ship multiple arm64 linux binaries, or drop support for some platforms. I

No, that would defeat the entire point, and any such system should be fought indeed. It's possible to build systems that explicitly do not have this property.

Fun fact, this has been broken with curl for 5 years (and so are the blog examples), because Tor developers previously insisted that apps shouldn't attempt to resolve .onion domain names: https://daniel.haxx.se/blog
