How does that work? If the code the comment applies is to is changed, does it expand the range? Or try to relocate it or something? Or it just doesn’t try at all, and it just applies a comment to a certain change/diff section?

Huh. I have only good memories of this calculator. Would buy for my kids in a heartbeat. The fact that it barely changed is a feature to me. I know exactly what they’d be getting.

Why would issue creation written in rust be any better?

Well, if you are building one you generally want to support the 99% workflow, not the experimental one. What part of gerrit is so different? Stacked PR’s work fine right (not in github, as a concept)

Working on it :P I’m going to take the idea to add a ‘defer’ button to PR comments. Which is fantastic.

My opinion is we need a new Github. It was fine for a decade, and can be again. As long as it’s like Steam and stays private it’ll be fine.

You quoted the original post I responded to back at me as an answer to my doubt?

Of course the policy is preventing the merge. That’s literally the point of the policy…

I don’t understand this? I donate plenty of tokens towards OSS. I guess it’s anthropic donating the tokens because they give me about $5k of API tokens for the $200 I pay them.

Is it really that much effort to maintain something? I’ll admit I haven’t the foggiest, my most maintained thing having like 200 stars or something, but if I leave it alone for half a year it doesn’t suddenly combust into flame.

> minimize loss of life this time around is (ironically enough) the rise of autonomous weapons systems I think that just means the relative civilian loss of life will increase once again.

It certainly helps the service never does anything wonky that requires a support interaction in the first place.

It’s good, but it’s not quite Claude level. And their API has constant capacity issues. Price/quality is absolutely bonkers though. I loaded $40 a few weeks/months ago and I haven’t even gone through half of it.

Wait, wut? How would they stop me from adding new book to my kindle? I can just plug into USB and load directly right?

If a person I interacted with on a personal level did they, yeah, I’d be upset. If one of my 2000 employees wrote something in Slack? No, I don’t think it would even register.

Regardless of whether it is 'appropriate workplace behavior' to call a jerk a jerk, firing someone for it is so far outside the range of 'appropriate behavior' that it's hard to make a comparison.

This is exactly how someone explained Git to me 12 years ago or so, and I’ve finally wrapped my head around it. Not changing now.

I dunno, I haven’t really felt gimped in the past few months. My last issue was somewhere after the holidays when the usage suddenly felt like it cratered, but quality has been consistent.

> There is no substitute for high quality work. Have you taken a look at the world in the past… I dunno, at least several decades. That ceased to be true somewhere around the time I was in high school, maybe before.

If Steam was run by EA I’d abandon it in a second though. All those games that are left behind aren’t super relevant since I already barely play them.

Well, yes, but it was in response to a post mostly waxing lyrical about using rust instead of typescript, so forgive me if I got the wrong impression. Also, that is so far outside my experience that I can’t tell if you are joking. Codex see
