Yet that is exactly how propaganda and mis-information works. How exactly do you think antivaxers became antivaxers? They weren’t born like that, they were exposed to propaganda and eventually fell for it. I know several wonderful, educated

Exactly. As of today, you can also buy on gog.com and stream from Geforce Now. Gog releases DRM-free versions of games, so that's worth supporting.

That can definitely be the case. In our case, we sometimes have MR's that specifically mention things like "I did X as a shortcut to get this running, we will have to optimize this before we can do Y", which are totally fine

I would agree, Bullshit Jobs has content that is understandable, if not immediately relatable, to anyone who has spent any time in the workforce. It can be a powerful read indeed. Debt is more academic, and it uproots many societal misconce

This is a perfect description of input latency. You stop moving your finger over the target, but the cursor keeps moving for another 33-50ms, causing you to overshoot.

You've hit the nail on the head. The real difference is input latency. Tweaking acceleration curves will not help overcome latency of 2-3 frames which is common on Linux compositors (33-50 ms of delay, causing target overshoots).
