I read several times 2 stories in the past 5 years: the exported quantity of olive oil in Italy is bigger than the entire country's production and the global sales of Motul engine oils is 3 to 5 times bigger than their production capac

Some corporate training in the past decade are indoctrination camps, not teaching you real life useful skills and information. Treat it like any other kind of garbage.

I'm not sure if that was sarcasm (especially the part with needle exchange), but it is San Francisco so yes, it could.

One can only dream, but mid-market price expectations cannot be met. Just read in the article the price for the space, it is huge.

The problem is the lack of choice, not your choice. If you were willing to pay $10 more for ECC DRAM, there would be no way to use it.

We are in an economic recession, so even if the people have the money, many are not willing to spend it on a graphic card. If you also consider parts of the world like Europe where the price of electricity more than doubled and the powe

Whenever I go in vacations with friends we talk. Rarely, we talk over the phone, otherwise we talk in person. Never text. That is the point of going together and not separately.

How does this impact Osmo Action cameras? I don't have one, but I guess it has some phone app (like all do), while still being able to function completely offline. Any information on this?

The "come back home" functionality relies on the GPS on the drone, but the "follow me while filming" needs the phone's. I saw quite a lot of motorcycling vlogs using that feature.

I am on 10 Gbps is parts of my house for a while, 10G on UTP consumes a lot of power and you cannot realistically fill a SFP+ switch with RJ45 transceivers because of that; they are also very expensive for what they provide. At the same tim

Not cheap and not needed for most people. Most people don't need PoE, a simple 2.5 Gbps switch with no PoE should cost 25% of that. Fine device for special people with special needs, but that's that. Servethehome is a very mislead

It's normally a switch and the question is reversed: what's the advantage of a router compared to a normal switch. Routers extend switching capabilities for extra cost and some performance impact. It's a balance.

It is just right for a small NAS. Need? Maybe not, but when practically any quality desktop motherboard already has 2.5Gbps and same for any NAS, why not? Drop the PoE requirement and pay $10 more than a 1Gbps switch, it's a deal.

PoE is more than half of the BoM for such a switch, a non-Poe switch with this speed and number of ports is expected to cost less than $70, with the potential for $40 with better availability. A 1Gbps switch is $30 or less, tax included. Go
