"marry for love" does not last. It makes the marriage a chronometer for infatuation. Not saying marrying for money is better, marrying for long term family partnership is neither of these.

I have seen a few cases of successful women at work. But what surprised me was to find out that most of them took a break of 10-15 years to raise the kids, then returned to the workforce with full focus. I have a friend that did that after

And the result is a huge drop in marriage rates. The problem did exist for millennia, but the modern laws destroyed marriage without bringing a net positive outcome.

Today the "fulfilling life" is on the verge of disappearing. When most people don't have kids, like South Korea, when you get 60 years old you realize that there will be nobody to support you because there are not enough peop

Having a drink with the colleagues has nothing to do with alcoholism. I used to organize nights out with colleagues even if I was never drinking alcohol (I had to drive). But the point in "going for a beer" is socializing and info

It matters as in each culture the communication style is interpreted in some way, but not necessarily your way. I lived a while in the Middle East and being very direct was considered to be rude; it may be not rude at all for a Dutch, but i

You can say the same about Norway, that went full speed for electric cars but still extract and sell a lot of oil.

I also had one, it was a great CPU for those days. But several generations passed, games want more performance from CPU and GPU, I retired that 2700 in a server that sees less utilization. For the past 30 years the best CPU of a few years a

That would be irrelevant, tens of MB of cache do not cover for Gigabytes of slow memory for textures. Modern games use 4-8 GB of RAM, mostly for HD textures. Screen buffers are already in the cache.

Read again. I said you don't need ATPL to be the CEO of Boeing. If you don't agree, state that, don't pick on the 50 hours because you are wrong there. And don't be pedantic about ATPL requirements, I am a pilot and I kn

The senior leadership does not lack the self awareness, they know exactly that they are bad and they act to cover it as best as possible. I saw this up close in other similar companies (manufacturing moved to all non-technical leadership).

It takes ~ 50 hours to get a pilot license and understand what is that. You don't need ATPL as a CEO, but flying regularly will keep you connected in a way that cannot be substituted, definitely not by the glasshouse that is a MBA. Can

Not just in humans, hierarchy in groups is inevitable because some group members are stronger, more competent or more charismatic. Informal hierarchies exist almost everywhere when any of these factors has an influence. This is a positive f
