There is always somebody ready to respond. Of course they can't take full control, that would be stupid dangerous, but they can still control the car. They even have people who go to your car to get it unstuck manually when needed.

There is someone to take over as soon as the car encounters something it cannot handle. It's not self driving. By definition it's not driverless, there is always a driver assigned who will take care of it if needed. One of the rea

Search for "driver monitoring system". As soon as there is something unexpected there is an actual driver taking care of it. Also the reason why it's not level 5, but stuck at level 4 self driving.

Do they? Even I have problem nowadays with this, because they write 60W but it's a LED and it acts like a 60W bulb but it's not 60W. 60W is more like branding.

I don't see why that would contradict my statement. Yes learning is good, but it becomes harder as we age.

It's basically true for every profession. We even have a word for it, we call it wise. They built up an experience that they rely on during decision making and produce good results. Changing that is hard.

They are older and learn slower, they also learned a lot of biases over the years. They are often unwilling to accept major changes to workflow.

That's understandable. There is still a social stigma attached to it. Hopefully it will change over time.

Pretty sure tomatoes attract more pests. Also people grow these in the forest on small sunny patches and they do just fine. It's literally a "weed", it grows like crazy. But yes, it won't be premium quality, just some av

Right, it does have a strong odor. But if you have a balcony then it's easy even in an apartment. Without a balcony it is a kinda difficult as you need some carbon filtering set up.

The main benefit comes from knowing what you have if you grow it vs. buying something that looks like weed from the guy on the street. Also growing it is super easy. If you can grow tomatoes then you are already overqualified.

No, but it makes less sense to haul around an ICE or more battery than needed for 100 miles.

Still doesn't explain how the EV is less reliable. OK, it's more expensive due to the battery, but surely no ICE at all should make it more reliable.

Not sure. In the comment I replied to, they mentioned that EV is good 95% of the time. In that case, renting a car, like once a month, for a long range tip would make sense imo. Better yet, public transport, then rent an EV there.

For each of those 51 hybrids you need to manufacture an extra ICE engine. Which is not cheap. It's more complex to make a drive train that can seamlessly handle switching from EV to ICE. So it's more difficult to manufacture. Has

But then just rent an ICE car when you go for a long drive... better for the environment.

Seems fishy to me. How can a more complex device (ICE + EV) be more reliable than a pure ICE or EV? Also seems like a crap website, their chart show 79% more problems as red and then 26% fever as green.

Hybrids doesn't make sense to me. If you need a car that runs on gas then make it a proper ICE car. Why put two engines into one? Seems super wasteful.
