I don't understand the page, it shows a list of data sets (I think?) up to 91 TiB in size The list of short links and their target URLs can't be 91 TiB in size can it? Does anyone know how this works?

I wonder why it's not standard that you can simply connect two PC's to each other with a USB cable and have them communicate/transfer files. With same protocol in all OSes, of course. Seems like it should have been one of the

I'm not sure how it's for others, but for me there was a perception issue with java applets on the web in the mid 2000s: Java applets loading on a website started as a gray rectangle, which loaded very slowly, and sometimes failed

The article somtimes says 100x, other times it says 100% speed boost. E.g. it says "boosts the app’s ‘rangedetect8_avx512’ performance by 100.73%." but the screenshot shows 100.73x. 100x would be a 9900% speed boost, while a 100%
