Yeah, CGA's white+cyan+magenta+black is a baffling choice for a default palette!

I really agree that they should have an integrated browser-based C64 emulator to view all those demos. The browser itself is not very a interesting target for this kind of demo, since it doesn't have much limitations and changes over t

What is this claimed $7.5 million in damages by stepping over a corner of land about? The wooden beam from the photograph got scratched or something?

Macs don't even support alt+tab to tab between different windows as a stack correctly, this can never be superior. NOTE: I don't use windows but linux, with desktops that are windows-like.

I did mean have the feature removed, I edited the comment (replaced "downgraded" with "have this feature removed". I actually originally typed "crippled" but wanted to phrase it more mildly). What I mean is to

No modern intel consumer CPU has avx512 anymore, they only support at most the 10 year old avx2 vector instruction set, because they want to give every single consumer chip efficiency cores, those can't handle it, and even the performa

If only there was proper UI for these things. These days, even simple things like copy paste are being made harder and harder to discover, rather than have 1 standard way of doing it that works anywhere. If people are able to figure out how

Some feedback: it lacks a search button. I mean, you can type a sequence, but have to hit the enter key to search. I'd expect at least some mouse-pressable button to be there that searches too (either the magnifying glass that's a

HP cartridges with DRM have come up a lot on HN lately. I have a 5+ year old HP laser printer. I'm sure the toners have some form of electronic "authenticity" check, but at least they work without requiring network connectivi

It seems like we just can't have a break, can we? Any technology that looks cleaner than the previous one (solar panels vs coal burning, electric cars vs petrol exhaust, ...) seems to have its own way of ruining the environment anyway
