The only way I could think to do it would be to have it process the transaction in memory and never store the data at all. Make the running code open source, and make it hashable in some way so that when you visit the site, you could tell i

Apparently they do this because they do their own QA/testing. It's pretty sad that they are charging users $50/year and then charging developers $10,000+ for patches. Isn't the subscription supposed to pay for the infrastructure? I can unde

Won't this make discussion of the first Xbox horribly confusing and make the new product and original product show up together in search terms?

Using 2.1 of this framework and an HBase database, we've been able to reduce load times for data in one of our applications from about 30 seconds down to less than 1. Arguably, this had a lot to do with HBase, but rest-framework is actually

3d printing also allows you to make a lost-plastic cast with far less work than it would take to whittle and chisel a gun mold out of wood.

I was at a local hackerspace and paid about $180 into a building class, but then it didn't work out and other things came up in my personal life and that of the person giving the classes. I think the $200-$300 range is where it's going to

I agree. It really depends on why someone is building the PC. Sometimes you want to optimize the gaming performance, or video editing performance, or the file transfer speed and lower latency for a NAS box, or other times you're looking to

LivingSocial messed up a meal order of mine so badly one time, I had to pay for the meal twice and they still didn't refund my payment. Worst company I've ever dealt with, and I'm really not surprised to see they have a security breach cons

I could see it being some sort of message as CISPA was stalled in the Senate yesterday. More likely, however, is that we'll never know why.

This looks very cool. Were you also inspired by the Kodu Game Lab for Xbox 360? That game was probably one of the more enjoyable game making games I've played.

I can't conceive of a way that 'reinterpreting' the constitution is going to give us more freedom. If he and his police force can't do their job of protecting the public, maybe they need to rethink their tactics instead of trying to force u

That gives me an interesting idea. Do you think it could be feasible to mine ore from space and then drop-ship it to some low-depth (a few hundred feet at most) part of the ocean? The heat from re-entry would likely turn the metal into a mo

Kinetic Bombardment has been a sci-fi concept for decades, and it's interesting to see a real, possibly cost effective, technology that could make it real. At those speeds, you don't need explosives, just a lot of mass to slam into somethin

I felt very lightheaded most of the time, but I did feel more energetic. It was very strange feeling. It's not something I'd do for the fun of it, but I'd certainly do it again as a diet because it seemed to work.
