Imagine if that area had to be strip mined, factories set up, and coal power plants built. There's nothing clean or green about renewable energy. Californians and Westerners in general should be thankful they just have to deal with thi

The startups that are using API credits seem like the most likely to be able to achieve a good return on capital. There is a pretty clear cost structure and it's much more straightforward whether you are making money or not. The infras

Inference costs will keep dropping. The stuff the average consumer does will be trivially cheap. More stuff will move on device. The edge capabilities of these models are already far beyond what the average person can use or comprehend. The

The economics of a game engine engine business are grossly inferior to an app store. Steam charges 30% of gross (25% at high volume), Unity charges by seats and not fees after (huge backlash when they tried to go the other way and indies ba

They missed two epochal changes in the semiconductor industry - mobile and AI/GPU. They don't have a contract foundry business that could compete with TSMC. They appear to be failing with the thing the originally should have been

Any sort of warranty or security representation is basically snake oil except in a very narrow set of circumstances and conditions, yet still not 100%. If Apple can't keep iPhones 100% locked down, with billions of security spend, no f

Between the convoluted EU rules and whatever the multiple US antitrust cases outcomes are, it could be a lot simpler: Chrome, Android, Youtube, and Gmail all must be divested. The ad & search business don't really appear separable,

This is probably just a preemptive move in case of a New York state financial transaction tax and has less to do with any other political issues. This isn't "Texas" setting up their exchange, it's Blackrock and Citadel.
