Moderna has not been distributing its vaccines fast enough internationally. There is a timer to these things you know, because the virus can mutate more. For that reason I'd rather put my investment in 3D printing or something.

Why is everything a large group of people do collectively called a 'mob' these days, for everything? Is no one allowed to do things together anymore without being chastised?

I recall many users telling me swift would be the new python and that it would take over the machine learning domain.

What's amazing to me about HN is comments like this don't get downvoted, but comments about how maybe we should tax the wealthy a little bit do.

Is that why farms need subsidies to survive? Because the farm owners are really good at allocating capital?

It would be, if anyone was making that claim. Instead they say that because things are better now, then you cannot complain.

This is a well-done analysis. Unfortunately, bitcoin is not replacing gold. They're being mined side-by-side. Eventually the damage will be done, yes bitcoin might become the primary value storing currency. But we'll have tons and

Who said anything about 'morality'? The evidence of disaster of letting people with excess wealth make loans they don't suffer consequences for is everywhere. To be a reductionist and say 'risk management is just x, what

Seeing as you are someone who is interested in constructive dialogue, I encourage you to read Capital, so you can form an even stronger dialogue about the pros and cons of modern capitalism.

The irony of using corn markets as an analogy when they are the most subsidised industry in America is lost on him. At the end of the day this has always been a question of who 'deserves' what, dismissed by people like the author

This still begs the question. Risk is about unexpected loss of investment, which means at its core it's about the moral and physical consequences of losing money. If the consequences of risk are not actually felt, materially, by financ

Personally I donate to keep wikipedia independent so they don't get bought up by an entity. I don't care what agendas they have and there are no better alternatives (and never will be).
