None of your points changes anything: The Iranian government and the IRGC are still a despicable, oppressive, and brutal regime, holding both the People of Iran hostage in their own country, and also coordinating violence against Israel in

As these things go, there obviously is a standard for this called the XDG Base Directory Specification[0], which elegantly solves almost all configuration path needs—and has been ignored, violated, or only partially implemented, since forev

I am more and more convinced that the separation into different living beings is somewhat artificial. If there are multicellular organisms, then an ecosystem as a whole can also be considered a life form.

I'm so happy I don't have children (yet?) for that reason. Like, are you doing your child a disservice in the long run by doing what I'd call the right thing? I wouldn't dare answer that…

Just because it sounds coherent doesn’t mean it is. You can make up false equivalence for anything if you try hard enough: A sheet of plywood also has many similarities with humans (made from carbon, contain water, break when hit hard enoug

That indeed seems to rule out most open source licenses actually; one or another restriction, like including the license or not modify the license, will be in conflict. I’m pretty sure this sloppiness in phrasing is on purpose.

Ah; but how annoying it is to discover something like the inverted retina bug, only to figure out it is effectively unsolvable now due to all the follow-up architecture decisions built on it?
