Don't waste your time comparing your productivity with others. What you think or what the real facts are do not matter. This train has left the station. Focus on getting off the train.

Just because it was first discovered 15 years ago, does not mean it wasn't still a good idea. Keep on thinking. You never know what else you will come up with.

$50 for a one off thing, for a gym buddy is fine. in the blue collar world, that would be a 'case of beer' for helping me out. But in business, you need to charge an honest / fair amount. (sure, sometimes that 1 hour bug fix

Nice project. I like the idea of using the fill of the input buffer to control the motor speed. Excellent. For those that never have used paper tape, it had one big advantage. You could edit it. Using tape and a pair of scissors. Storin

I have worked with people that have a command of a given programming language, and algorithms such that it appears to be magic to me. (C++ is common for this problem). The readability problems may be the reader.

It could be they are working at a level higher than you understand. Not being snarky, but the elite schools are significantly advanced. Imagine learning algorithms from Knuth (yes, I know he hasn't taught undergraduates in 50 years).

History repeats itself. Note the agonizing over memory. They were targeting a 16 MB machine. We have the same problem. Ever try running linux on a 4GB machine? It naturally desires 16 GB nowdays.

Maybe not a 'good time', but a safe one. Commercial airliners have standby instruments and a VHF radio that works on a battery. Which is all you need to get it on the ground in one piece.
