Anecdotal. Here in India, I have also found a high variability in recommendations by dentists. Every relative/friend of mine has been told that the previous dental work was bad or ineffective. - Both my wife and I had gotten braces at

Has anyone had successes building smaller python images? I have always found it challenging to build it with Alpine as the base image. It just never finishes building. I end up pulling the python base image which uses debian. After installi

Hey please have a look at my reply above. My wife would definitely love to make better friends to talk about something other than clothes/earrings. As a woman how do you handle such situations when your self worth is evaluated by the n

I agree with you. I think I should have been clearer. By mending I meant small tears or threads coming off. Not full blown tears which can just be used to clean your table.

Would Rust be the most suitable language as a drop in replacement for Python? I have always thought it would be Go.

For emacs I use doom-one-light https://github.com/hlissner/emacs-doom-themes/tree/screensho... I wish there were light themes which are consistent across apps. The only ones I've usually found consistent

Hey can you please explain more on "FBSD is like Arch for grownups". I'd love to move to FBSD from Arch if it is actually a better system.

I can relate to this so much. In my first job I was working with analysts who spent a lot of time generating reports. I was a SQL dev who had learnt python recently and automated my report generation. It cut down work from 1 day per report

SQLAlchemy's core is a great option to use for building dynamic queries. I wonder if we could use python and go to interface with each other for building queries. go -> python-sqlalchemy-build-query -> run query from go and get r

I love Django a lot too. It has made MVPs really easy to deliver. At the same time, I am interested in understanding about the disadvantages/quirks of using Django. Do you have more examples that you could share?

The book is certainly approachable to read and understand. Especially with some amount of background math. I think the book is hyped so much because people don't have the right background and/or find it difficult at the beginning

Can you please share codebases (if opensource) where you moved from Python to Haskell? It would help me understand how the porting was done and the design choices too.

Are there examples of moving from Python to Haskell? Would love to read and evaluate such options since I'm in dire need of moving away from Python to a typed language and Haskell seems like an interesting choice.

Github is the most useless metric to get interviews. Would rather just reach out for referrals. I don't think Github would apply for experienced professionals unless they contributed something significant to open source.
