But above, you cited BTC not dropping as evidence that it wasn't a bubble. So, it's not a bubble because, while it drops all the time, it doesn't drop exactly when you predicted it would?

Really? It hits $66K all of the time?

If your monolithic backup suffers single a bit error, it's unrecoverable. If you zfs recv, though, you can recover all pristine files. And if you zfs recv to a redundant filesystem (mirror, RAID-Z), you can periodically zfs scrub and r

Dropping from $66K to $20K within a year is overwhelming evidence of not a bubble? Bitcoin just deflated first. It could deflate again as the Fed offloads its balance sheet. Meanwhile stocks like TSLA are still meme-overbought.

Seattle cyclists don’t have to stop at stop signs, but they do need to yield. Unfortunately the new law didn’t change anything: cyclists still refuse to yield, even to pedestrians, and in general act like entitled assholes. Even the lazy on

On almost every topic, Stallman is embarrassing. Yet somehow, when it comes to free software, he is 100% correct and can't be questioned. I'll stick with license types which predated, and remain more popular than, GPL: BSD and MIT

So far NASA has been doing plenty on Mars, and Musk has done zero. He does love to talk and blow things up.

A colony on Mars would be child abuse, even assuming the fetuses gestated normally in that environment. And the resources needed would devastate Earth, the one planet which makes our ideal home.

A substantial amount of Earth's resources would need to be eviscerated to accomplish that goal, the the space colonies are extremely likely to fail anyway, in the end.

The Stallman stans are out in force; they fear that if people ponder all of the egregious errors Stallman has made, in his life, they may realize he might also be just as wrong about free software, too.
