   There is no reason to think the regulations do anything to improve safety. It's more likely that they make the trains less safe by banning modern rolling stock used in the rest of the world.

   I would say the exact opposite. Eliminate government ownership of the trains. The government is not "the people". It's a monopoly maintained by violence.

   Why would that be the assumption? If Black history is the reason for the disparity between white and black people (in the US, presumably), why can't the history of treating women as delicate quasi-children without agency be the reason

   I'm not sure what you mean. Everything in the comment I responded to apply to the same extent to women/men and white/black. Both the question in the first paragraph and the statement about crime statistics not being enough. I

   Nothing is just a fact. If it's fair to point out that men are charged/arrested/convicted at a higher rate, it's also fair to point out that black people are charged/arrested/convicted at a higher rate. Neither

   The same thing applies when the statement is applied to men or any of the other demographic groups that it's applied to from time to time.
