I haven't even seen one in like over a decade now! I've never had a chequing account and I'd never accept payments in the form of cheque. Cheques won't be a thing in Australia soon enough either: https://minis

We shot a 802.11b 215m across houses and a park to save getting a second internet using WDS around 2003 to 2005. That was a full 20 years ago - yikes! We used Linksys WRT54G's started with for some reason I think it was .a, then .b the

I too was joking about how we must pass that estimate failure on like a hot potato as our duty. It was an ironic joke because it is usually true. If I can divert from the joke; software development is like any development work which inclu

Apologies if this is long winded and plenty fragmented. I'd advocate spinning rust hhd due to the potential for a non-instant failure mode. S.M.A.R.T. has saved me plenty of times and I transfer 100% data off without loss. I might also

As a software developer? Verbally || Literally Mate. It doesn't matter how we can blame others' estimation. It only matters that we do blame others' estimation. Besides, in this case, it's the hardware guy's fault

I'm pretty sure the sum of my experiences are unique - just like everybody else's! I expect many of my experiences are mirrored by others - as well as not. What's the point again?

I'm not actually out to convince you to change, just sayin' - it's not the only dog on show and I'm doing fine without. Nobody will force you but I felt MS certainly pushed me away hard. At home I don't get reboots

honestly: why bother at this point? It's their product. They didn't have to make it trash but they've not just let it, they made it by design this way. Why eat trash?

Austria != Australia If it was actually about Australia, it'd be wholly and totally unsurprising - we don't defend our citizens. Ever.

Well, if that's the case, I guess I do owe them an apology. I can accept that it is fact I that doesn't know full the situation, to know that we're still yet to feel the effect of all that - that really sucks

Sure, and there goes any credibility they had. Could have just stated the facts, not even written any of the "Why is the ozone hole so big?" section. Had they presented facts from their space-borne instruments, analyzed said dat

When I was working in local government my team, that I was 1 of, had two permanent staff with 7* managers above us. I was lucky for most of the time I had a great TL and a great manager so I had immediate and mid level buffers to shield me

Sure, spheres acting as a pressure vessel make 100% sense. Even conceding they may be the only sensible choice for that environment - they are still not space efficient.

Round furniture being nice =/= round rooms being nice. And a round room might be a cylinder with a flat curved edge at least. A spherical room/wall is the absolute worst use of space case possible.
