Call me a Luddite but I don't want more and more technology. I don't want AI. I want to build my own house, grow my own food, make my own shoes. We've had lots and lots of economic growth... but at what cost?

Great! I have been using KickMap because the MTA app used to suck. I will give this a try.

I've been writing CSS for over 10 years, and I still battle with certain issues all the time (mostly flexbox, images, and positioning). CSS is easy to learn but almost impossible to master.

I built an Alexa skill at work. It's mostly a ton of edge cases and prompt variations you have to handle. Alexa also has a very short time out, something like 8 seconds, so your skill will time out very easily. Handling state is a whol

I wouldn't trust this article. The author seems to be a terminally online person with crab mentality. The arguments aren't particularly persuasive and seem to be obsessive and emotional about a random paid search engine. Move alon

GraphQL is one of the most annoying developer inventions ever made. I have never found a good use for GraphQL even at huge scale. I'm sure Facebook has some use for it, but even then, you can still add filters with good ol' RESTfu

I went to my state school instead of a private university purely because of cost. It just never seemed worth it to spend so much for 4 years of my life. It's funny too, since I went to a high school where everyone felt the need to go t

You are suggesting new grads attempt to get a FAANG job, which is 1. what every new grad is already trying to do and 2. extremely competitive. Maybe if you went to an elite university and live in the Bay Area, but realistically I'd sug

Software can be re-written on the same hardware though. Is it all technically finite? Yes. Though it's infinite in terms of human ability to use software.

Not sure how AirBnB has a $100 billion market cap. The use case for an AirBnB, which is mostly large group travel, seems limited when comparing to the use case for a hotel (every other type of travel). Marriott and Hyatt combined have a low

Maybe AI developers can make landing pages and basic APIs. But, taking front end as an example, I just don't see how an AI can reproduce exact design specifications and interactivity to the point where it wouldn't just be faster t
