I will not give up on this setup, minus the Yubikey (would love to one day), but it recently broke it when I updated via F-Droid, and it has not been the same since. https://github.com/zeapo/Android-Password-Store/

Well thanks for clarifying. But my point is: cannot I use the already configured pypy toolchain I used to build pypy from source on my machine anyway? https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/?O=0&K=pypy In any event, I

I had trouble compiling Pixie a few weeks ago specifically because it tries to embed PyPy from source, IIRC, and I cold not figure out how to tell it to talk to the PyPy I had already compiled. Looks like I need to try again. And if this c

Well this has been the most detailed view into real-world attempts I have read so far, Twisted being a few steps more complex than Django I imagine. Thanks for the detail.

This is why I am surprised it is to hear about Jython, even here, where the GIL is thrown as a topic routinely any article with serious use of Python comes up.

So we read a lot on HN about how JRuby has taken off, in terms of Chris Seaton's work with Truffle, Graal, and dynamicinvoke research for Java. JRuby, with efforts by him and sepearate work by others, has shown that jokes aside, porti

As I said elsewhere in the thread I worked with some Kenyans and a few refugees in the Kakuma camp, and I do not get the impression Kenya, Nairobi or elsewhere, is just flush with jobs at the moment. Blah blah, globalized economy, blah blah

More power to you. I spent some time in an online education program for NW Kenya in a refugee camp, where US unis help. And if the internet there sucks enough to make it miserable, I can only imagine destabilized parts of Somalia. So, if

Excellent timing. So I have played most of the time since college in Python, bash, Perl, and very little Ruby (in that order). I am going back to school to Java as part of my "torture yourself with the basics you blew off" under
