Also waiting for a TabMixPlus replacement. I've updated FireFox on a few of my other systems as experiments and used userchrome.css to tinker but my main development machine will stay at v56 until I can properly replicate my workflow

I wonder though who is serving you those ads? If it's running a 'hacked' version of the Youtube app, could Amazon be the one serving you "Youtube" ads?

Why do people here feel the need to down-vote personal opinions? So their preference is to not like the new release and they commented as such. Do we really need to down vote someone because they have a differing view?

I am typing this this on v56 with all my legacy extensions working?

I will be doing the same. The enhancements in 57 don't out-weight the productivity loss from my critical extensions. I'll be waiting until more of them are ported forward. For the record I don't actually find Firefox 56 sl

This may not be a fair answer but being based in bilingual Canada has made localization a defacto process. We only support English, French, and have recently added Spanish so languages like Cantonese would be a challenge yet. That said it

I would use a service like this. I am similar to your friend... When I find a product that I like I'm good with getting more of the exact same in future vs. bouncing around through other brands. I have another Bluetooth headset still

As soon as I saw no headphone jack I immediately stopped considering an upgrade. I still love my Pixel v1 but when it comes time to replace it I will be looking elsewhere now. It's not a feature I'm willing to give up.

Here's the thing though. Developers understand the technical differences between Chrome and Firefox. To 95% of general users they don't see why they are different. They look about the same and hey, I get Chrome offered to me ev

Tab Mix Plus, DownloadThemAll, RightToClick, Status-4-Evar... all regularly used by me, none migrated yet. Not to mention the loss of Classic Theme Restorer's control over the UI highly disappoints me. I really really dislike being

I'll be doing the same, staying on 56 for quite awhile. This transition has been very poorly managed by Mozilla. I understand the advantages to Quantum but they have left a very large percentage of their extension developers hanging.

When it was announced is somewhat irrelevant. Developers are saying Web Extensions still isn't able to support the needed functionality. That needed to be addressed before shutting down the older APIs. That is where I feel developer

I find it incredibly cluttered. Seems like the push for vertical page space has lead to crunching everything together into 2 lines while ignoring usability.

I am however one of those. While I understand the technical reasons for the switch I don't think it has been handled well. Extensions I rely on daily are going to cease functioning because the WebExtensions API isn't mature enou

As with everything it depends on the person. I find mine quite useful thanks. I also find my smart watch to be a critical part of my day but I don't tell everyone they are a must have. Everyone has their own use cases.

Another voice for the higher grade Thinkpad chicklet keyboards. My W530 came with one and as a long long time Thinkpad owner I was wary but I have been hammering on this for a few years now and it really has been great. Just the right amo

Unfortunately I don't think so. The only draw keeping FF alive for years has been its extension system. They gave up the unique UI flexibility, now they are giving up the flexible extensions. When Google makes it so easy to find and

One more voice for the above. I will be stopping at Firefox 56 until I decide what works best for me. I rely on several plugins daily that are about to be made obsolete. Likewise I revert Firefox back to a very classic UI interface that
