It’s the worst piece of software I ever used. Worst than Lotus notes, worse than Eclipse. It’s the only software that genuinely makes me angry.

The Intel GPU is in the CPU, so yeah, it has two GPUs. Unfortunately, if it's like other ThinkPads I think the HDMI output requires the discrete GPU.

The source code is not embedded in the binary! go tool pprof has to have access to the source code in order to print the source code. The binaries only contain source code coordinates for symbols.

Yeah, companies forcing people to buy new crap all the time because the old stuff is discontinued and customers are locked out from fixing it themselves is definitely good for the environment.

Actually, no, you don't. Where I live it's almost impossible to make any kind of artisanal car street-legal.

Erm, my Garmin GPSMAP 64 can get a fix after a reboot in about one second. And if I didn't boot it in a few months it takes 15 seconds tops. You are thinking of very old and very crappy GPSes. Today GPSes not only get a fix very quickl

You have to swipe to log-in. The system authenticates you automatically, but doesn't show the home screen unless you swipe.

Ah, of course that cameras always have time set wrong! Personally I use cloud services like iCloud only for my iPhone pictures. For my "real" photography I just keep files on a NFS server (and Lightroom is a pain with NFS...), I d

Not sure how it's done, but I also don't have this problem on iOS. Apple Photos seems to sort by UTC, not sure if it uses embedded TZ in photos or the GPS in EXIF, but whatever it's using, it seems to work fine for me.
