I promise I’m not being a smart ass, but can you point me to a reputable source for the 80% false claim? I’ve seen a lot of people complaining of inaccurate tests, but have not come across any news articles myself. Maybe just for lack of tr

It is hard for me to imagine being in Dang’s shoes. Probably daily trying to walk the line. Making tough decisions on when to put an and to inflammatory, unproductive, even abusive threads. All that, while striving to administer as ‘light’

This is really cool! (but not unexpected) On the east coast, there is a species called ‘Coywolves’. They are a hybrid of pure coyotes and timber or grey wolves. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coywolf They are known to

Agreed. The whole app based 2FA does not seem great in retrospect. I accidentally bricked my whole account, by simple user error. That’s a good point, that it could just happen from a hardware malfunction as well. Seems like most 2FA these

Yeah for sure, It was kind of my fault. It all happened very quickly, I think 2FA was relatively new at the time. I kept getting ‘recommendations’ from Google to enable it to be more secure. As a dutiful user I obliged, and downloaded the a

A few years back, I got locked out of my primary gmail account due to a 2 factor authentication SNAFU. I was never able to recover it. I tried to go through the appropriate support channels more than once. Filled out extensive forms, even i

For sure, you nailed it. I just can't help but get pissed and check out after about 5-6 tweets. However, nice people have pointed out this lovely site, https://threadreaderapp.com , so I will be using it in the future :)

Interesting to hear the other side of it. Maybe there is an opportunity to build a writing platform that caters to this preference?

Not my preference, I prefer reading twitter for shorter, more 'one off' type of thoughts. I find the UI, comment threads, lots of buttons, etc. to be very distracting. For long form ideas, I prefer a more plain text approach. But

A tangent if I may... I freaking hate twitter 'essays' like this. What is it, 30+ tweets in a row? This is such a horrible way to communicate. 240 characters at a time is is not a good way to write, let alone to try to read. I gue

This just sounds like a great reason to not use Safari. I switched to iOS recently, but I’m a dedicated Firefox user, so I personally don’t touch it except when I’m forced to by other apps opening links. (I was honestly REALLY disappointed

Just thinking the same thing. Got A good laugh out of that! However, it seriously looks like this could be pretty useful. I’m lazy, and the idea of just writing some semantic markup and have it look great out of the box is very appealing. E
