It's fascinating to look up the etymology of words and see how it looks in Dutch. I find Afrikaans to be much closer to English than Dutch or German (which I previously learned). Do you find Afrikaans comprehensible?

Maybe so, but I just assume anything I write is being read by multiple different parties anyway. I use Signal too, but I don't trust that either. Face-to-face communication (inside my portable lead chamber) is the way to go

What I find strange is that it uses different prose in different contexts. It's absolutely insufferable in a general claude-code session, but then I got Opus to annotate a non-disclosure agreement and it uses very clear legal language.

Good point. Age and obesity are the strongest correlates with low testosterone. Increases in sedentary lifestyles probably aren't helpful either, but not clear if that is anything other than a proxy for obesity

My Ducky Zero keyboard has outlived several laptops in the last 10 years of abuse and it’s nice and portable. You can swap the switches when they die. I see this as a far better solution
